Spring Creek Cottage isn't run like every other holiday rental.
It's a small, hands-on, genuinely dog-friendly place that has become a favourite for many guests who return year after year. More than half of all booked nights each year come from returning guests, and I'm incredibly grateful for that ongoing support.
Over the past five years, the cost of operating the cottage has increased by around $20,000 (non bank related). During that time, I've worked hard to keep pricing as stable as possible, with only a modest $10 per night increase introduced from mid-2026.
Rather than negotiating individual pricing, I keep my published rates consistent for everyone. Every guest receives the same pricing and the same warm welcome.
With more than half of all booked nights now coming from returning guests, I no longer offer individual or requested discounts, including reduced nightly rates for longer stays. Consistent pricing is simply the fairest approach for everyone and, importantly, ensures that I can stick around providing this fabulous place. If I ever run a genuine special, it will be available to all and clearly advertised on the website.
What I can promise is something I believe is far more valuable than a discounted rate. When you book Spring Creek Cottage, you're booking a place that is genuinely dog friendly, beautifully maintained and thoughtfully prepared for every stay. Your dogs will be welcomed exactly as you hope they will be, and you can arrive knowing the experience you've booked is the one you'll receive. That confidence and peace of mind are worth a great deal, and your experience is something I'll never compromise.
The same thinking applies to check-in and check-out times, occupancy limits and booking policies. They're not there to make things difficult. They're a finely tuned system. Thoughtfully developed over many years to keep the cottage operating smoothly, presented beautifully and sustainable for many years to come.
My goal isn't simply to fill every available night. It's to continue offering a place people and their dogs genuinely look forward to returning to, year after year.
